Pros: really does what it says. hook your portable HD to it and it plays everything.
Cons: i can't make it play mp4 files.

Simply put: This is the best and simplest media player ever!!!
I just transfer any movie, video clip, music, etc., to my usb drive and plug that into the media player.
I have not been this happy about a purchase in a while.

I'm a poor college student, so I don't exactly have access to a hi-def tv. This player is easy to use, easy to install, and plays standard def and DVD-quality videos just about perfectly. The interface is a breeze and it plays everything! Sure, it lacks the features and hi-def support of the full WD TV model, but that's why it costs less. For what I needed it for, which was playing my DVD-quality media library on a good standard-def TV, it did the job perfectly. Highly recommended!

Its a superb product. I bought it from Newegg for myself and liked it so much that bought another one from Amazon for my friend as a gift on his marriage anniversary. He really liked it too as it eliminated the efforts of writing/burning DVDs to watch them on TV. Two thumbs up!!

I bought this media player not really knowing what to expect - except play back video files. It was extremely easy to set up. I was able to start paying videos, showing photos & playing music almost immediately. FAntastic product if you are just getting into playing media on your TV. There are more sophisticated models - but this worked out excellently for me.
